Nhood Hungary donated an inhaler to the Children's Heart Center

Our company has been supporting the work of the Children's Heart Center of the Gottsegen György National Institute of Cardiology for the past years.

Our company, Nhood, which develops, regenerates and operates mixed use properties, places special emphasis on corporate social responsibility. We always seek to create value through our projects, and our activities aim to achieve positive social, environmental and economic results. Therefore, as part of our humane approach, we are using our financial resources to support an increasing number of foundations and institutions every year. 

The György Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Institute is one of the leading institutions for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases not only in the country, but also in Europe. The hospital performs nearly 500 childhood heart surgeries, 250 catheter interventions and 120 catheter ablation treatments per year. The center launched the Hungarian childhood heart transplant program in 2007 and has since performed more than half a hundred successful heart transplants. In addition, the institute plays a key role in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and the monitoring of cardiological disease, serving an average of about 100,000 patients a year.

Our company has been supporting the exemplary work of the Children's Heart Center for the past years. In 2019, we purchased an ECG device worth HUF 560,000, while in 2020 we purchased hospital cribs for the institution for HUF 500,000. This year, in consultation with the hospital's staff, an inhaler worth HUF 575,000 was donated. The important medical device supports the aftercare of young patients who have been taken off the ventilator. The donation was handed over by Dóra Diána Szemerédi, CSR & Internal Communications Senior Manager and Bernadett Bikki, CSR Junior Manager, on behalf of Nhood Services Hungary Kft.

In connection with the donation, Diana Diána Szemerédi said the following:

“The life-saving and quality-of-life improvement activities carried out by the hospital staff as well as the prevention programs promoting a healthy lifestyle organized by them are commendable, and represent a value that is important for us. That is why the Children's Heart Center has been one of the institutions that we have supporting. We are honored to be able to contribute to the outstanding work of the hospital and thus to the improvement of the health of the patients treated there.”
