With the contribution of Auchan Korzó, we brought the Christmas spirit to 35 public institutions

At Nhood we believe in sustainable solutions, so we try to operate our clients' shopping centers in a way that has a positive impact on the environment. This year, we made schools, nurseries and other social institutions happy when we’ve given away the former festive decorations of Auchan Korzós. The donated Christmas ornaments make the holidays of hundreds of children and pensioners more cozy.

As the operators of Auchan Korzó, we strive to delight shoppers every year with new and varied festive decorations in all 18 Auchan Korzó shopping centers during the Advent season.  As sustainability is also important to us, this year we decided to decorate not only the Auchan Korzó shopping centers, but also local institutions in line with the principle of a circular economy: by donating the no longer used, but still perfectly suitable Christmas decorations to schools, kindergartens and social institutions.

The approached public institutions welcomed the initiative. Thanks to the donation, the Dunakeszi Educational District Center decorated the classrooms, corridors and lobbies of 34 primary schools* around Budapest with artificial Christmas trees, garlands and Christmas baubles of various sizes, while the Soroksár Social and Child Welfare Institution donated beautiful festive decorations to the Family and Child Welfare Centre, the Soroksár Day Nursery and the district's Senior Citizens' Club.

As there will be some Auchan Korzó Advent decorations left over after this year’s holiday season as well, we would like to continue the donation next year, hoping that with our actions, we can create a somewhat more cozy, loving Christmas holiday for hundreds of children and adults in our neighborhood.
