Our company has been awarded the Institution Supporting Men's Health certificate

Prostate cancer is still considered a taboo subject in Hungary, even though the disease, which claims the lives of an average of 1,500 Hungarian men every year, can be successfully treated in its early stages. That is why information and timely screenings play an enormous role.

As a responsible company, Nhood Services Hungary Kft., the operator of Auchan Korzós in Hungary, places great emphasis on supporting important social causes, one of which is healthcare. This is why at the end of last year, our company approached the largest men's health protection movement in the country, the MentsManus Hungary Association and decided not only to provide them financial support, but also a venue for the PSA screenings they organize.

With more than ten years of history, the MentsManust Hungary Association is the largest non-profit organization dealing with men's health in Hungary. They are responsible for the introduction of the Movember "moustache growing" initiative, which started in Australia. The aim of the movement is to send a clear message to the stronger sex not to neglect their health and to get regular check-ups. The nationwide screening program called Prostate Commando, which has been operating since 2016 is also connected to the association. Professional partners, including the Hungarian Society of Urologists and the Department of Urology at Semmelweis University, joined the PSA screenings throughout the country. 
The Institute Supporting Men's Health (FETI) certificate was created to recognize companies that support the health of their male employees. Companies and institutions that include screening for diseases that affect men, such as prostate cancer, in their annual screening programs are eligible for FETI certification. Since the beginning, many companies operating in Hungary have joined the camp of FETI-certified workplaces.

The certificate was handed over to Dóra Diána Szemerédi CSR & Internal Communication Senior Manager and Gergely Fonay Head of Marketing by the President of the association, Dániel Honti. Gergely Fonay, Marketing Manager of Nhood Services Hungary Kft., said the following in connection with the certification: 

“We are proud that Nhood Hungary is now one of the companies that has been certified as an Institution Supporting Men's Health. For us, health awareness is related to our approach to the well-being of people and the planet. We consider it important to set an example not only in terms of environmental awareness but also in terms of maintaining health. Having an FETI certification is an honor. Being one of the health-conscious companies in the country sends a message to the market and employees that the lives of the men who work for our company are important and must be taken care of, as long-term results can only be achieved with a healthy workforce. Therefore, we plan to continue supporting the work of the MentsManust Association also in the future.”
